All our scarves and shawls are made from natural fibers such as cotton, silk, wool or linen. These materials are completely biodegradable.

We do not carry synthetic fibers that release microplastics when washed.

We believe that good fashion takes time. Fashion that is produced in incredibly fast cycles and constantly brings out new trends is not good for our world.
We only develop a few collections a year and focus on good design quality and purity of materials.
Our products are produced in small quantities to avoid overproduction.
DJIAN will continue to work to rethink the textile industry and the fashion system.

Until 2019, all of our products were individually (!) packaged in plastic bags for transport and sale. This is common practice in the industry to protect textiles from moisture and dirt.

We were dealing with huge amounts of plastic bags. This couldn't go on!

So we decided to wrap our textiles in bands made of recycled paper. Fortunately, the fear that the goods could be damaged more easily was unfounded.

Plastic consumption in our supply chain has already been reduced by 90%!

And of course we are working to make it even less...

handmade

A large part of our collection comes from textile manufacturers. The handmade scarves and shawls use fewer resources during production.

Traditional craft techniques such as hand block printing, batik and hand screen printing can be supported and preserved.

Everything takes a little longer to produce and we only produce small quantities – but this is how we create beautiful, unique pieces that are simply perfectly imperfect!
